Definition
Perantau/Expatriate (n) = Voluntarily absent from home or country.
(v) = 1. Move away from one's native country and adopt
a new resident abroad.
2. Expel from a country.
Purpose of
To share my opinion about being expatriate.
Begin....
Some of my friends are expatriate. They are living outside Indonesia, the
near places such as Singapore, and Australia. They could be workers or
students.
They are my good friends. One of them wants to get experience and lot of
money to make business when he come back to Indonesia. One of them is
student. He nearly will get his doctoral degree and become philosophy
doctoral of specific science. And maybe he will get his job there, and
then accept it. Know what? Because there is no job in Indonesia with PhD
degree and that specific science.
Some people called unpatriotic to my friends. But sometimes people called
them, heroes of devisa. Yeaah, to many point of view, of course... OK, it
is my issue. You could make some opinion too. Please write in comment
list. I'll be appreciate that...
